Human rights due diligence

We help our clients understand the biggest human rights challenges impacting business today, and provide them with the tools and advice they need to establish themselves as leaders among their industry peers.

Our trusted solutions enable companies to develop robust due diligence systems that ensure alignment with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Our portfolio of human rights risk analytics, including user-centric data and mapping platforms, enable companies to evaluate their risk worldwide.

This data is complemented by our dedicated team of human rights analysts and legal experts, who between them have an unrivalled depth of experience. They help companies to enhance their human rights due diligence processes across several key areas:

Strategy: To establish an overarching approach to manage human rights risk:

  • We will support companies to establish robust human rights strategies, which include governance and risk frameworks to manage human rights risks and build reputational advantage

Policy: To articulate a commitment to respect human rights

  • We will help companies to develop dedicated policies and codes of conduct in order to articulate corporate commitment to human rights

Assess risk: To identify, analyse and evaluate human rights risk

  • Our human rights risk indices will help companies to identify, prioritise and manage the risk of violations across four pillars, including: labour rights and protection, civil and political rights, human security and access to remedy
  • We will help to assess potential and actual organisational impacts through evidence-based corporate- and site-level Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA)
  • Our in-depth reports, analysis and scorecards will enable companies to analyse and evaluate human rights risk trends

Treat risk: To establish internal responsibility / accountability
