Verisk Maplecroft to present at Innovation Forum’s modern slavery conference

Verisk Maplecroft’s Head of Human Rights, Dr Alex Channer will be presenting at this week’s Innovation Forum event: How business can tackle modern slavery and forced labour.

The event, which takes place on 7th-8th March 2018, in the London offices of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, will provide focused discussion on how businesses can tackle modern slavery in their supply chains and operations.

Alex will use her expertise and client experience to provide the Maplecroft view on: Regulatory growth and convergence: How emerging legislation will tie together, and what it means for your business operations and worldwide compliance.

She’ll be appearing alongside a panel of experts at 10.30 on 7th March. These include: Michelle Bramley – head of global knowledge, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Rachel Raba – senior research coordinator for the United States Department of Labour, and Alyson Slater of the GRI.

Together, they’ll be discussing how new laws on modern slavery tie together across different jurisdictions and how business can best align operating and reporting procedures to be compliant.

As a sponsor of the event, Verisk Maplecroft would be happy to meet any companies attending to discuss these issues and more.
