  • 10 – 11 September 2019
  • Alvear Icon Hotel
  • Buenos Aires, Argentina

Jimena Blanco, Research Director, Head of Americas will be delivering a keynote speech at 11 am on day one of the event, discussing Vaca Muerta: Social License as the key tool to mitigate above ground risk and maximise reserve potential”.

Outside of the US L48, Argentina’s Vaca Muerta is the most closely-watched unconventional play. With the general elections most likely to trigger a change in government, Jimena will examine the above-ground risk landscape and assess the prospects for policy and macroeconomic stability as progress in Vaca Muerta’s development picks up the pace. With a rapid expansion of the industry, community demands also grow at a rapid pace, making the maintenance of social licence to operate the key emerging challenge for operators and service providers.
