Role Purpose 

As a key member of our Consulting team, you will be responsible for producing sustainability and integrated annual reports for global clients. The development of new business in this area will also be a component of the role.    

While the main focus of the role is reporting, the job holder may be involved in a range of consulting projects spanning other disciplines including, for example, ESG risk assessment and sustainability strategy development.

Main Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Engages with client reporting teams (e.g. for project planning, coordination, content development/review, etc.)
  • Ensures the effective delivery of reporting projects (including possible responsibility for budgets, schedules and resources)
  • Develops concept, structure, key messaging and general content for reports
  • Develops and delivers materiality assessments to inform report content
  • Collates, calculates and analyses client sustainability data
  • Conducts interviews (remote and/or in-county) with internal and external stakeholders to inform report content and/or materiality process  
  • Develops engaging infographic concepts and case studies

Business development:

Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will have significant experience in producing sustainability reports for global clients. The candidate will have a proven ability to lead reporting assignments from inception through to delivery, with a strong working knowledge of the prevailing international best-practice standards (in particular the GRI Standards). Experience in integrated reporting would be beneficial.

Role Purpose

Verisk Maplecroft’s Environment & Climate Change research team is responsible for developing the company’s qualitative and quantitative analysis and global forecasts relating to risks associated with environmental regulation, natural capital, natural hazards and climate change. The team works closely with Verisk Maplecroft’s analytics, human rights, consulting, and politics teams on products and analysis relevant to international operators and investors.

The Principal / Senior Research Analyst - Environment will be a senior figure within the team, taking the lead in generating clear and concise, in-depth, forward-looking analysis of environmental developments in key regions, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research skills. The analyst will collaborate with our regional politics teams to develop assessments of the social and governance factors affecting environmental trends and developments. As a specialist in the field of environmental risks, the Principal / Senior Research Analyst - Environment will provide leadership and coaching for more junior analysts within the team to develop their analytical and communication skills.

The analyst will also work closely with the wider Environment & Climate Change team and Verisk Maplecroft’s sector leads to produce industry-relevant analysis on cross-cutting issues such as climate risk. Other workstreams will include input to the development and production of Verisk Maplecroft’s suite of over 45 environmental risk indices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain thematic expertise in the details of activity, events and trends in environmental and climate change risks globally.

Research associate programme

The Verisk Maplecroft Research Associate Programme is aimed at graduates in a post-graduate course in social sciences. The Human Rights Research team seeks a motivated, passionate and driven individual to contribute to its core research activities. These include country and sector analysis from the human rights perspective, commodity and value chain mapping, and human rights duediligence projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in qualitative and quantitative research, and have an academic or employment background in human rights, sociology, law, international development or a related field. Role: Research – Human Rights Analyst

The successful candidate will contribute directly to the core research activities of the Human Rights Team.  This will take the form of both qualitative written analysis and quantitative analysis that underpin our research offerings.  These include Verisk Maplecroft’s human rights country analysis, commodity & value chain mapping work, and risk exposure analytics.

Role Purpose

The Director of Business Development for the Asia Pacific territory is a key member of the sales & marketing team at Verisk Maplecroft. Knowledge & Experience

The candidate will have a proven ability to lead a teams (preferably commercial ones), developing relationships and be comfortable with challenging, yet achievable, sales targets.
