Climate Innovation Indexes

Companies in the Maplecroft CIIs have been systematically rated using a fully transparent process that scores each company across five pillars of climate-related performance:

  1. Management through principles, policies, targets, verification and supply chain processes
  2. Mitigation of carbon emissions through policy responsiveness, partnerships and efficiency
  3. Data trends relating to the reduction of GHG emissions and reporting scope
  4. Innovation of new technologies or initiatives that capitalise on climate-related market opportunities
  5. Adaptation by modelling climate impacts and changing company strategy and operations

Rankings and scores broken down by pillar and for each company are available for each index as downloadable content below. Participating companies are provided a scorecard to facilitate reporting and future engagement in semi-annual reviews of the indexes, also accessible through the Bloomberg terminal.
